This paper attempts to make a comparative study of disclosure practices of Indian State Technical Universities vis-a-vis Global Technical Universities across the world, with regards to the levels of transparency, accountability and governance disclosure. It will compare the degree to which these institutions respect disclosure norms (i.e., the provision of key information to stakeholders). The study will also explore the extent of transparency and accountability in Indian STUs and global technical universities through the analysis of disclosure practices. The study will consist of a comprehensive literature review and review of publicly available documents, and interviews with key players in such institutions. The results could contribute to better understanding regarding the disclosure behaviour of the higher education and provide useful insights to policy makers, university’s administrations as well as other interest parties to promote transparency and governance in technical universities internationally.
